CLOVERDALE – At the City of Surrey’s request, BC Housing is withdrawing the application for supportive housing at 176A St and 58 Ave. As a result, BC Housing has cancelled the Cloverdale supportive housing open house that was scheduled for this evening at the Pacific Community Church.

Homelessness continues to be an issue in all areas of Surrey, including Cloverdale where there is a significant population of people in need of a home with support services. The Province will continue working with the City of Surrey and non-profit housing providers to create much-needed homes with the necessary supports for people who are experiencing homelessness.

The City of Surrey has committed to bringing forward appropriate alternative locations to BC Housing this fall.
